David Godbolt Member of the Southend Art Club, Essex, UK With 15 years of drawing office experience in earlier life and painting for over 30 years as a hobby, retiring has given me the desire to visualise and paint either images from an earlier time or scenes from nature, trying to create a feeling of nostalgia, having a particular preference for the edwardian period. Having started in oils I eventually moved onto pastels, then ink and finally watercolour, which I now prefer, using ink and/or coloured pencil as well.
